Monday 6 June sees the return of the incredibly popular Orange Prize Shortlist Readings at the Queen Elizabeth Hall. Chair of judges, Bettany Hughes, will host the event with shortlisted authors reading and discussing their work. The 2011 shortlisted authors are Emma Donoghue, Aminatta Forna, Emma Henderson, Nicole Krauss, T�a Obreht and Kathleen Winter and all six authors are confirmed to attend the event.
Join Orange and Grazia on 7 June in the Purcell Room at their first-ever writers� evening, chaired by Orange Prize co-founder and bestselling novelist, Kate Mosse. Kate will be in discussion with author Sadie Jones, whose debut novel, The Outcast, was shortlisted for the Orange Prize in 2008 and became a Richard and Judy Summer Reads bestseller. There follows a �writers� clinic� where audience members will have the chance to grill a panel of experts about how to get published including award-winning literary agent Clare Alexander, Joanna Prior, Managing Director, Penguin General Books and first-time author, Jean Kwok, whose debut novel, Girl in Translation, is the June Orange New Writers� Book of the Month, has been published in 15 countries and is a New York Times bestseller.
