Review: iFrogz EarPollution Timbre EarBuds

iFrogz’s EarPollution Timbre EarBuds with mic are sound-isolating earbuds made of natural wood body. I really like how Timbre’s look: wooden earphone chambers, brushed silver metal band and black earbuds, in one word – classy. Most high end home speakers are made of wood because of the superior acoustic characteristics of the wood. This is no exception with Timbre’s, the natural wood chambers provide clean, rich and warm sound. When in the right position (sealed properly in your ear), they sound great and only thing you hear is what you want to hear – music, blocking out any unwanted external noises.

All genres I have on my iPhone ( and believe me I have a lot of them ) from Jazz to Rap, Instrumental, Rock, Pop, R&B, Electronic even some Classical ( you name it – I have it ) sounded great. High end sound is crystal clear, vocals precise, with deep natural bass ( but not powerful as some high-end earbuds models ). All in all Timbre’s provide very natural sound, and compared to the earbuds that come with the iPhone they sounded noticeably better. I must admit that I’m really surprised how loud these earbuds sound.

Timbre earbuds come with three tip sizes (small, medium & large) that fit snugly inside your ear, design is ergonomic and provide perfect in ear fit. The cord length is a perfect ( 1.1 m ), with mic control unit made of plastic ( rubberized ). Unfortunately it doesn’t let you to adjust the volume or skip to the next ( previous ) track in a playlist, just play/pause option, and for picking and hanging up on calls. Cord could be a little thicker though.

I tested the mic and made some calls, and I must say that mic did a great job, some of my friends I talked even didn’t noticed that I talk through earbuds mic and not through my iPhone. Ear Pollution Timbre earbuds are excellent value in terms of sound quality for the money ( on sale ATM for $24.99, regular price $49.99 ).
