iOS exceed Android in the corporate segment

Apple reserves the leadership in the corporate sector, despite the rapid growth of Android, the conclusion made in the investigation of the representatives of Intermedia. In this case, although the home and for Apple and Google Android North American market has pushed iOS in global terms the situation has not changed - 61% of corporate customers using devices iPhone, while the proportion of users with devices based on Android is very small and is only 17 %. This is less than the group of users passing in the "other", which in total gain of 22%. This includes Windows Mobile, Windows Phone, HP's webOS and Symbian. These data were obtained when analyzing the use of Exchange services from a company Intermedia.

The analysis of new activations users of the service, the Android successfully growing - the share of the OS account for 33% of activations. But while Apple is not losing ground: iOS is 64%, which allows to say that Apple and Google are increasing their share at the expense of users of other operating systems. Also predictably, almost all users of Tablet PCs are the holders of iPad. Here, the monopoly of Apple obvious - 99,8% of the existing and 99.68% of new activations. For Samsung Galaxy Tab is 0,1%, Motorola Xoom - 0,03% and 0,03% for Huawei S7. It is worth noting however, that the plates occupy a very small share in the business of the company Intermedia. In addition, although the service and support vehicles with the BlackBerry OS, but most users prefer their own BlackBerry Enterprise Server, so any information the company did not show absolute numbers, but the ratio of the operating system.

Review: Beyza Stripe Sleeve for Apple iPad 2

Review: Beyza Stripe Sleeve for Apple iPad 2

I like all my iDevices “naked”, they are so slim and very well-built, they look gorgeous, and I don’t want to add extra bulk to them and cover their pretty “faces”. However, they all need some protection mainly from scuffs and scratches and best way to protect them is a sleeve case. Biggest benefit of keeping your device in pristine condition is that it greatly adds to the resale value.

Beyza “Stripe” Sleeve for iPad 2 is elegant, stylish, luxury sleeve made of full grain cowhide leather. When I was preparing for this review I wanted to learn more about types of leather, especially about full grain cowhide leather. Here is little info for all of you who didn’t know, and I believe not many of you have some knowledge about it.

Leather types (more info – Wikipedia)

In general, leather is sold in four forms: Full-grain, Top-grain, Corrected-grain & Split leather. The difference between full-grain leather and other forms is that the full-grain is top quality. The markings and texture of the hide ( animal skin treated for human use ) is what will be seen in the end product. For this reason, no alterations are made to the full-grain leather.

As you can see Beyza company use best quality leather for their products, and its not only the leather, craftsmanship is top-notch, the stitching is excellent ( even and straight ), in one word perfect. Their customers service is second to none, they are shipping their products all over the world via TNT, UPS or DHL (4.99 € world flat rate shipping).

Beyza “Stripe” series case is horizontal envelope-style sleeve that provide full protection of your device. Magnetic flap closure will keep your device well secured and will prevent your iPad from slipping out of the sleeve. There are two vertical stripes ( its “Stripe” series sleeve afterall Review: Beyza Stripe Sleeve for iPad 2 ) on the front that are same color as interior leather, black in my case ( if you get black sleeve with white stripes, inside color of the closure will be white), which gives nice contrast look to the sleeve. Ipad 2 fits perfectly inside the sleeve, its not too tight and you do not feel like putting in a lot of energy while putting in or pulling out your iPad 2 from the case. The inner padded suede is soft enough to protect the iPad’s screen and the back from scratching. Its padded enough and it will even protect your device from falling or if you drop something on it. The leather is soft and has just enough texture to make it easy to grip, you will feel very comfortable carrying it in your hand.

One thing worth mentioning is that magnets can sometimes automatically wake the iPad 2 from sleep mode when you open the case, so maybe you would like to disable iPad Cover Lock/Unlock setting when using the case.

If you want high quality, luxury leather case for you or as a present for a family member, or your close friends this is perfect gift.

Price € 104.95

Visit Beyza Cases site there you will find great quality cases for your iPod , iPhone 4 & iPad 2

Android To Surpass Apples App Store In Size By August 2011: Report

Theres no doubt Android Market will at some point offer more applications for download and/or purchase than Apples App Store, as the latters growth has been slowing down of late, while the Android application stores growth rate has been accelerating.

In a recent report, app store analytics company Distimo forecasted that Android would surpass the App Store in size before the end of July 2011.

Another research firm, Germany-based research2guidance, corroborates Distimos findings; the firm forecasts Android to blow past Apples App Store by August 2011.

Provided current growth rates for new app uploads are maintained, research2guidance expects Android Market to reach 425,000 apps next August, effectively overtaking App Store in size.

According to the firm, Android Market added 28,000 new apps in April 2011, whereas Apple lagged behind with only 11,000 new apps.

Evidently, theres always the question whether this matters at all. After all, the bulk of applications that are available for both platforms dont see much traction anyway, so how relevant it is whether there are 100,000 apps or 200,000 apps that are rarely, if ever, downloaded by anyone? (note that this goes for most if not all mobile application stores)

In fact, notes research2guidance, Android Markets high growth rate does not necessarily mean that the average mobile app developer will have a better shot at generating revenues from the store. In fact, the firm posits, the opposite may be true:

On the contrary, the success of an app store is negatively correlated to the success of an average developer. All analysis on the early months of an app store including the Android Market shows that average download numbers decrease dramatically after the first months or even weeks after the launch of the store. The long tail gets longer and longer while the top 5% gets richer and richer.

Be that as it may, Android Markets stunning growth is worth noting, especially because it came out the gates fairly slowly.
