The company OCZ Technology has introduced two new series of SSD standard SATA III, and 2.5-inch form factor. Series models OCZ Agility 3 will be offered in three versions with capacities of 60, 120 and 240 GB. Junior series is OCZ Solid 3, which will offer storage capacity of 60 and 120 GB. In both series will be used by SSD-processor SandForce SF-2200, to increase the speed of reading and writing data. Differences between 3 and Agility Solid 3 is not only a maximum storage capacity, but also the reading speed. In the first case, these figures correspond to 525 MB / sec for reads and 500 MB / sec write, while for Solid 3 limit of 500 and 450 Mb / s, respectively.
More noticeable difference in the maximum random write capability - for Agility 3 figure is up to 50,000 I / O operations per second, and for Solid 3 does not exceed 20,000 for the same storage capacity 120 GB. At the same time, these figures for the most productive SSD of the same form factor of the same company OCZ is 60 and 75,000 IOPS. The cost model has not been named, but reported that it was "affordable" solution, which hit the market in the near future.
